RFP
RFP stands for Red Fluorescent Protein. Similar to GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein), it glows under the correct lighting.
RFP is also inheritable. However, it is duller in hue than GFP. RFP can be found naturally marine invertebrates such as
anemones and corals. It can be found in transgenic mammals such as rodents. RFP is an important biological marker
used in the field of comparative medicine.
